American Academy of International Culture and Education (AAICE) is a non-profit organization composed of leading U.S. education experts and dedicated teachers. Employing cutting-edge teaching strategies based on solid pedagogical theory, AAICE delivers quality curricula, cooperative programs, teacher training, and platforms for teacher resource-sharing. AAICE collaborates with quality K-16 institutions and educational organizations both in China and in the United States to provide teachers and students with a global learning platform that strengthens the connections between Chinese and American cultures, using education systems as the bridge.

Dr. Bai Jianhua: Robert A. Oden Jr. Professor of Chinese at Kenyon College. He served as Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, and won the 2012 Senior Faculty Trustee Teaching Excellence Award. He also directed the Chinese School of Middlebury College (2002-2017). His research interests include foreign language pedagogy and assessment, teacher development and the integration of technology in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. He is a life-time member of the Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA), served on the Executive Board for 2 terms, and was President of the CLTA (2003-04). He is a board member of the International Society of Chinese Language Teaching, Chief Reader of AP Chinese and Senior Academic Advisor for American Councils for International Education.

Professor emeritus at the University of Southern California. World well-known linguist, educational researcher, and political activist. Krashen is the widely cited scholar in the world in applied linguistics. He is best known for the Comprehension Hypothesis. He has published over 500 articles and a dozen scholarly books in the fields of literacy, language acquisition, neurolinguistics, and bilingual education.

Helena Curtain Ph.D.

Helena Curtain Ph.D. is an internationally known expert on second language teaching methodology, curriculum development, and bilingual education who has worked as a language educator at all levels. She is the co-author of Languages and Learners: Making the Match (Pearson, 2016). She has served on the ACTFL Executive Board, the CSCTFL board, as president of her state language association WAFLT and as a founding member and Vice President of NNELL. She has received several national and regional awards and has authored numerous articles dealing with second language instruction. She served as Foreign Language Curriculum Specialist for the Milwaukee Public Schools, a system with 100,000 students, and in that capacity coordinated and supervised elementary through high school language and immersion programs. She served as associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and directed the Foreign Language and ESOL teacher preparation programs. She has broad experience working with schools and school districts, and universities, teaching and conducting workshops throughout the United States and internationally in forty countries. Her passion is working with language teachers in empowering learners on the path to language proficiency.

Since 2006, she has taught at CARLA Summer Institute on Second Language Assessments at the University of Minnesota. Recently, Dr. Clementi co-authored with Laura Terrill the second edition of The Keys to Planning for Learning: Effective Curriculum, Unit and Lesson Design published by ACTFL.
